Founded in 1926, Sedgefield Country Club has established itself as one of the premier country clubs in the United States. It hosts the PGA Wyndham Championship each year and houses a historic architectural treasure with its Tudor style clubhouse building. Triad Design Group designed the 17,594 SF activities building at Sedgefield Country Club to complement that existing architectural style and to update the amenities for its club members. The building includes a fitness center, golf cart storage, kitchen and dining, and a multipurpose area for use by club members.

TDG provided architectural and structural engineering design services through Samet Corporation for the two story, 78,588 sf NASCAR Winston Cup race shop facility in Welcome, North Carolina. The building exterior is constructed of insulated precast concrete panels with liberal amounts of glass for natural lighting. The entry lobby includes a display area for the team’s race cars and trophy cabinets for memorabilia. The race shop has all facilities for preparation of cars including a sheet metal shop, suspension shop, engine and transmission room, chassis fabrication area, paint shop with paint booths, and an internal car hauler garage. Corporate offices are located on the second floor with a separate fan tour gallery that overlooks the work
areas.

GRANDOVER HOTEL RESORT

Structural engineering design for the Grandover Hotel and Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina. The twelve story luxury hotel has a stone and brick facade and is framed of concrete flat slab construction. The hotel adjoins the golf clubhouse and conference center and includes restaurants, a health club and meeting and banquet facilities.
